Non-Christian Soul: a Dark Land!

THE SOUL Without God: A Spiritually Dark Land

God is not surprised by our individual journey– our unique soul–our personality, emotions, thinking, attitudes, and willfulness.  He knew about them all.  He knew the potential of the beautiful landscape of the soul wholly submitted to His Spirit.

And, unfortunately, He has seen the tragedy of a soulish land not committed to Him.  The potential beauty of this LAND is unfulfilled.

There was a time when God was grieved that He had ever created man-kind with the hope of him becoming like Him– god-kind (see Genesis 1:26):

“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of HIS HEART WAS ONLY EVIL CONTINUALLY.  ‎The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.” – Genesis 6:5-6

A heart with thoughts not as they ought to be is evil to God.  This corruption started with the first human being, Adam.  He became disobedient to the Creator God and through him “the many were made sinners” (Romans 5:19).  In short, mankind stayed mere men after Adam died spiritually.  This happened just as God had warned (Genesis 2:16-17).  In “the day that you eat from it” came and went, and Adam died; not physically, but his spirit.  He lost his spiritual connection to the Creator God.  And the soul of human beings started to become a landscape of corruption.

Without the spiritual connection, “men did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer” nor did they have the will to obey Him.  God “gave them over to a depraved mind…” and allowed them to be “filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed… gossips … slanderers… disobedient to parents…” and the list goes on (Romans 1:28-32).

The spiritual land of the human heart was engulfed in a darkness as God withdrew His light.  The soul of man-kind WITHOUT GOD became a dark land.

Ultimately, this is what sin does.

If you are Christian, you have been transferred out of this dark place.  If you have friends that are not Christians, they are living in this dark place.  Deception is so prevalent there, they most likely don’t even recognize the darkness.

Shouldn’t we offer them an opportunity for a beautiful landscape in the Light of God?
